Customers with 5G-supported devices will have access to the network on their existing data plan. Airtel says there is no need to change the SIM as the existing Airtel 4G SIM is already 5G-enabled.
Airtel 5G Plus is now available at Bangalore Airport
Bharti Airtel CTO Randeep Sekhon said, “I am pleased to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus at the new terminal at BLR Airport. Passengers flying in and out of Bangalore will not only see the most modern and contemporary airport but also experience the state-of-the-art Airtel 5G Plus service. While at the terminal, customers can now access superfast access to high definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant upload of photos and more.“
Bharti Airtel promises 30 times faster delivery than today paired with Fast Call-Connect. The network is also said to have lower carbon emissions on the data capacity generated compared to current technology.
Airtel currently offers its 5G Plus services in eight cities across the country including Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Siliguri, Nagpur, Mumbai and Bangalore. Along with a 5G-enabled phone, users should also have software support.
