This is the first time in this league that three industrialists are giving money together in a single sports league. Adani Sports Line bought the Gujarat Giants team in this tournament. Mukesh Ambani bought the women’s Mumbai team i.e. Mumbai Indians after the men’s team. And Ratan Tata is also associated with this tournament. Although he did not buy any team, he was the title sponsor of this tournament.

Every match in Women’s Premier League will be played in Mumbai only. In this league, Indian players have joined the team at good prices. A total of 10 players have been included in the squad for this tournament for a crore or more. The most expensive player in this league is India’s star batsman Smriti Mandhana, who was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 3.4 crores was taken into the team.

The specialty of this league is that for the first time any team will field five foreign players in the team structure. One of these players must be from an Associate Nation. In IPL, teams can field up to four foreign players.

In the Women’s Premier League, the team that tops the points table after the stage matches qualifies directly for the finals. Apart from this, there will be an eliminator match between the second and third placed teams, after which the losing team will be eliminated and the winning team will become the second finalist. The final match of the tournament will be played on March 26, after which the first winner of the Women’s Premier League will be in front of the world.
