RML Director On Covid-19: The Union Health Ministry has held a meeting with health officials and experts of major hospitals regarding the cases of corona and H3H2 virus in the country. The increasing cases of viral infection were discussed in this meeting. Especially on those cases which are spreading due to H3H2 virus. Dr. Ajay Shukla, director of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital was also present in this important meeting.

After the meeting, Dr. Ajay Shukla told news agency ANI, “Yesterday, the Director General of Health Services held a meeting with senior officials of central hospitals and medical experts. There was a lot of discussion in the meeting. Covid is over but many other viral infections are still present, especially H3N2.” He further told that experts have expressed apprehension that the virus can be dangerous for those people who have low immunity.

What was discussed in the meeting?

He told, “We have decided that if people go to public places, especially places where the risk of infection is high, especially hospitals where patients with different infections come. Wearing masks should be made mandatory at such places. The mask will not only save from Kovid but also from other viral infections.

He says that if people continue to use masks, it will help a lot. Apart from this, they are deciding to start vaccination to avoid these viruses. He also told that H3H2 infection is still present in the air but it is not the Covid variant.

At the same time, Dr. Amit Suri, MD, Chest Department at RML Hospital, says that he is getting 20 to 25 percent cases of viral infection everyday. Many patients belong to the old age category. He said that all the steps which were followed during the Corona period should be followed.
