Directed by Gurmeet Singh, the film stars Katrina Kaif as Ragini Maheshwari, Ishaan Khattar (Gullu) as Galileo Parthasaradhi, Siddhant Chaturvedi (Major) as Sherdil Shergil and Jackie Shroff as Atmaram Dhyan. The film is written by Ravishankaran and Jaswinder Singh Bath. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment banner.
Phone shoot plot
The film is based on the life of two unemployed youths, Gullu and Major, who aspire to become exorcists and ghost busters, inspired by various horror films they watched as children. They both live in a rented house and pray to an idol called Raka, who they recognize as a friend, to alleviate their poverty. One day, after getting permission from Raka, the two organize a Halloween party at their residence. However, in the middle of the night, Raka’s eyes shut completely, and in an attempt to fix this, Major and Gullu retrieve the light source in Raka’s eyes using a live wire. On doing so, both of them got electrocuted and became unconscious. As a result, they enter another realm and meet a demon named Ragini. These events unfold the plot of the film.
