Aiming to woo mobile gamers, Chinese smartphone maker Nubia RedMagic has launched two gaming smartphones – the Nubia Redmi 8 Pro And Redmi 8 Pro+ – In China. The smartphones are successors to the Redmi 7 Pro and Redmi 7S Pro from last year.
Both the smartphones are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which makes them the first gaming smartphones with the new flagship SoC. The smartphones don’t have a hole-punch cutout or a notch at the top, as they offer an under-display camera. Here are the details about the newly launched Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro and RedMagic 8 Pro+.
Nubia Redmi 8 Pro Price
The Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro comes in four storage variants – 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB – and is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs. 47,525), CNY 4,399 (approx. Rs. 52,278 and Rs. 52,278), respectively. The smartphone also has a transparent color variant, offering 12GB+256GB internal storage. It is priced at CNY 4,999 (approx. Rs. 59,401) respectively.
Nubia Redmi 8 Pro+ Price
The premium-looking Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro+ starts at CNY 5,199 (roughly Rs. 61,785) for the base 12GB+256GB storage option. The 16GB+512GB variant is priced at CNY 5,799 (roughly Rs. 68,914). The smartphone also comes in a transparent back variant with three storage variants. The 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB variants are priced at CNY 5,399 (approx. Rs. 64,159), CNY 5,999 (approx. Rs. 71,289), and CNY 6,999 (approx. Rs. 83).
Nubia Redmi 8 Pro, Redmi 8 Pro+ Specifications
In terms of display, both the smartphones sport a 6.8-inch full HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1300 nits of brightness. Both devices have flat frame 520Hz shoulder triggers. They have a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. It also comes with a 16MP under-display camera for selfies and videos.
The new Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro and RedMagic 8 Pro+ are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The upgraded internal cooling system – ICE 11.0 – has a built-in fan and air duct. The cooling system includes up to 10 layers of heat dissipating materials and a 3D ice-grade dual pump that helps reduce temperatures by 16 degrees. THey run Android 13-based RedmiX OS 6.0 out of the box.
The battery and quick charging technology are the main differences between the features of the two phones. The RedMagic 8 Pro+ packs a 5,000mAh battery with 165W fast charging capabilities. On the other hand, the RedMagic 8 Pro has a 6,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging.
