IND vs AUS 3rd Test: Indian spinner R Ashwin is likely to create a big record to his name soon. He can create a record as the bowler who has taken the most Test wickets in the Indian ground. Currently this record is registered in the name of former Indian spinner Anil Kumble.

R Ashwin took three wickets on the second day of the third Test match under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 (BGT 2023) at Indore. With these three wickets, R Ashwin took his total Test wickets to 466, taking his tally to 329 in domestic matches. That means R Ashwin has taken the most wickets in Indian grounds. This strong record of his on his home soil is now going to be a big success.

Anil Kumble played 63 Test matches in India and took 350 wickets in 115 innings. For a long time, he was the bowler who took the most Test wickets in the Indian fields. Ashwin is now just 22 wickets away from breaking this record. In the next 7 to 8 matches, Ashwin can write this huge record in his name.

He also became the third bowler to take the highest number of wickets internationally.
With three wickets in the first session on the second day of the Indoor Test, R Ashwin became the third most successful bowler for India in international cricket. After Anil Kumble (956 wickets) and Harbhajan Singh (711 wickets), R Ashwin (689 wickets) is the Indian bowler who has taken the most international wickets. Here he surpassed Kapil Dev (687 wickets).
