Alan Wood said it was a very stressful experience and he was recently diagnosed with Stone Man Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disease which sees muscles, tendons and ligaments turn into bone.
Amazon sent dog food in exchange for an Apple laptop
Alan said he has been an Amazon customer for two decades and never had a problem with them before. He placed the order on November 29 and even paid for next-day delivery, but when he opened the package, Amazon gave him a shock. “You can imagine the look on my face when I open dog food instead of a £1,000-plus MacBook Pro,” said Wood.
At first, he believed it could be patched and fixed, but after talking to Amazon customer service, they said they couldn’t help him. Alan was asked to return the laptop, which he never received, to resolve the issue. Even after sending the dog food back to the warehouse there was no difference.
“I spent over 15 hours on the phone with them, talking to managers and being transferred to different departments from time to time. But every conversation ended the same and they refused to listen to me,” said Alan Wood. However, an Amazon representative has now been in touch with Alan directly and said they are apologizing for the inconvenience and that he will be paid in full.
As for Alan Wood, he said the whole experience was stressful, especially given his current state of health, and the way he was treated put him off “ordering on Amazon again.”
Such is the case Held in India in SeptemberWhere an IA Delhi-based IM Ahmedabad student claims he received detergent bars instead of the laptop he ordered. Flipkart’s recent Big Billion Days sale. He said Flipkart denied him the refund as he was under customer support ‘Open Box’ delivery system. But after non-stop calls to customer support, Flipkart initiated the refund.
