The news of Sundar’s exit came via a tweet from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Twitter handle informed that Washington Sundar will miss the remaining matches of IPL 16 due to hamstring injury. However, Hyderabad did not announce Sundar’s position.
Although Washington Sundar is yet to be effective with bat and ball in the 16th season of IPL. Sundar scored only 60 runs in five innings in 7 matches played in IPL 16 with a strike rate of 100 at an average of 15. Sundar’s best score during this time was 24 not out.
Even with the ball, Sundar has been very disappointing this season. In this season, Sundar played 7 matches and bowled 17.4 overs and took just three wickets. Sundar took three wickets in a single match and could not take another wicket in the remaining 6 matches.
