Wynk Music is cross-platform, so it can be enjoyed across Android, iOS and the web with essentially identical experiences. In 2022, podcasts are very popular and Wynk has a section for them. Through Wynk’s curated playlists, you can easily find tons of Bollywood music, old Hindi songs, hit international tunes, classic rock music and more.
Since joining Airtel’s portfolio, Wynk has seen great growth and is now available to Airtel customers free of charge. Non-Airtel users can also purchase premium subscriptions from the company. After Jio’s success, Saavn quickly became a Reliance acquisition after launching as an independent platform. Since then, the service has merged with Jio and changed its name JioSaavn. Despite having a larger user population than Wynk Music, it lags behind Wynk Music in the user charts. JioSaavn is also cross-platform with availability on smartphones, tablets and PCs. Besides music, JioSaavn customers get access to podcasts, regional content, Bollywood music, classic Hindi songs, hit international music and radio.
JioSaavn Pro, the platform’s premium subscription, is also offered free of charge on high-end Jio data plans, which is how Airtel has implemented it. However, non-Jio users can purchase JioSave Pro for monthly or yearly subscription. JioSaavn offers free music streaming, however, with some limitations, including ads, reduced quality, and a small selection of songs. These restrictions are lifted by the Pro subscription, along with the ability to download content in HD quality, among other benefits. JioSaavn Pro is available every month for Rs. 99 or Rs. 399 (discounted price Rs. 999).
