RCB’s first win in WPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore opened their account of victory after a long wait in the Women’s Premier League. After losing five matches in a row, Team India won the sixth match. Former RCB men’s team captain Virat Kohli had a hand in this victory. RCB women’s player Heather Knight revealed this. He spoke of how Virat Kohli’s Guru Mantra gave RCB Women their first win of the tournament.
Last Wednesday i.e. March 15, RCB Women won against UP Warriors by 5 wickets. Ahead of the RCB Women’s match, Virat Kohli had a meeting with the team’s players. Heater Knight said that Virat Kohli interacted with the RCB women players and encouraged them. RCB’s hopes of qualifying somewhat with this win remain.

It looks very difficult for RCB to qualify from here. The team needs to win the remaining two matches to qualify. A team can qualify by finishing third. For this, they have to hope that UP Warriors lose all their matches in the tournament and Gujarat Giants do not win more than one match in their remaining matches. RCB are expected to qualify with these few additions.
They lost five matches in a row
The first season of the Women’s IPL for RCB Women has been abysmal so far. The team lost its first five consecutive matches. They beat Delhi Capitals by 60 runs in the first match, Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets in the second match, Gujarat Giants by 11 runs in the third match, UP Warriors by 10 runs in the fourth match and Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets in the fifth match. The wicket was lost.
