In the last over of this match, Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen moaning due to knee pain while holding the ball while keeping the wicket. MM Dhoni was troubled by a knee injury even before the start of the match. He was seen using the strap during practice.

Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming answered whether Dhoni will be out for the next match or not. He said it was a cramp. Stephen Fleming told the reporter, “It was just a cramp for MS Dhoni in the 19th over, no knee problem. At this age he knows his limitations but still he is a great captain.
