Will KL Rahul leave the team after missing the Playing 11? Coming back is not easy

Shubman Gill replaces KL Rahul: KL Rahul will not be a part of Team India in the Test match between India and Australia in Indore. He was kept out of the playing-11 for this Test. KL Rahul had to drop out due to continuous poor performance. Can KL Rahul be dropped from the squad for the upcoming Test matches? Learn here…

Team India replaced KL Rahul with Shubman Gill in his playing-11. Shubhaman Gill is in a great rhythm right now. He scored a lot of runs in the recent T20 and ODI series. He excelled in Test cricket as well. Gill was instrumental in winning the last Test series against Australia. In such a situation, this player can definitely confirm his place by playing big innings in these remaining two Test matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Now Gill will have some chances, Mayank and Sarfaraz are also in the race
Just like KL Rahul got many chances, now the Indian team management will give Shubman Gill a chance in the next few Test matches, even if he can’t do much with the bat. Also, there are batsmen like Mayank Agarwal and Sarfaraz Khan who are doing exceptionally well in domestic cricket and challenging KL Rahul. While Mayank has rained heavily in the Ranji Trophy this time around, Sarfaraz Khan has been scoring runs consistently in the last three Ranji seasons. In such a situation, KL Rahul may not only be kept out of the playing XI in the upcoming Test matches but may also be ignored in the team selection.

These players also challenged KL Rahul
Gill, Mayank and Sarfaraz are not the only challenge for KL Rahul. Batsmen like Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan could also become a stumbling block in his Test team selection. In fact, these two players have not got a full chance in the Test so far. While Suryakumar Yadav was included in the playing-11 for just one Test, Ishan Kishan is still waiting to make his Test debut.

KL batting average in last 10 innings
Since IPL 2022, KL Rahul has been struggling with bad form. He has been popular in ODIs and T20Is and now he is completely silent in Tests as well. His batting average is below 13 in the last 10 innings of Test cricket. He could not score more than 23 runs even once in these 10 innings.
