Revamp Moto, the Nashik-based EV startup that participated in Shark Tank Season 1 and received a round of funding from Sharks, has now launched India’s first convertible electric two-wheeler.
The RM Buddie 25 is a low-speed electric two-wheeler built from the ground up with modularity in mind. The company designed the EV to host a swappable battery pack and also put in other accessories and attachments that help users carry payload or pillion.

Shark Tank participants Revamp Moto launches RM Buddie 25 low-speed electric scooter in India at Rs. 69,999 (ex-showroom) starting price. According to the company, the RM Buddie 25 is India’s first ‘convertible’ EV and has the idea of modularity built into it.
are talking The Better India, the Buddy comes with a payload capacity of 120 kg and has interchangeable attachments including child seat, saddle stay and saddle bags, insulated box, carrier, base plate and base rack, said Pritesh Mahajan, co-founder and CEO, Revamp Moto. The vehicle is available in five color options – Billionaire’s Blue, Wealthy White, Royal Red, Oscar Orange and Grand Grey.
“As Indians, we are known for our ‘Jugaad’. A significant number of two-wheeler users in India use their vehicles solely for mobility – from carrying goods to setting up shops on two wheels. All of these are actualized using temporary solutions that compromise their own security. We decided to solve this problem by offering interchangeable attachments to meet the various needs of customers, making our vehicles a truly transformable EV.

The vehicle has a limited top speed of 25km/h, thus qualifying as a low-speed vehicle, which is exempt from registration and can be driven by anyone even without a licence. Revamp Moto is open for bookings from December 16, 2022. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in April 2023.
The e-scooter gets a removable battery pack that can be swapped out “in a minute” and charged at home. RM Buddy gets 25 a A 48V, 25Ah lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor combine to deliver a claimed range of 70km on a single charge. The e-two-wheeler takes 1 hour 45 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent. Users can connect to the scooter through a companion mobile app and use up to 50 parameters of connected vehicle tech.
Revive Moto in Shark Tank India Season 1
Revamp Moto managed to secure significant funding for their work on Shark Tank Season 1. In the show, the company will spend Rs. 1 crore worth of funds provided. BoAt founder Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com offered to chip in the money in exchange for 1.5 percent equity in the company. Revamp Moto was also followed by Lenskart’s Peyush Bansal and Bharat Pay’s Ashneer Grover for Rs. 50 lakhs brought into the mix. The company is also leveraging its strong backend support to launch the RM Buddy 25 on Metaverse, making it the first electric startup to launch a product on a VR platform.
