PS5 price hiked in India
- PS5 – Rs. 54,990
- PS5 Digital Edition – Rs 44,990
Prices for PS5 accessories such as the DualSense controller, Pulse 3D headphones, DualSense charging station and HD camera remain the same. Sony India has not given any official announcement regarding the PS5 price hike. During the previous PS5 price hike that excluded India, Sony said it was raising prices due to “high global inflation rates, as well as adverse currency trends, impacting consumers and creating pressure on many industries”.
Sony has launched the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition back in 2020. The only difference between these consoles is that the standard PS5 comes with a Blu-ray Disc slot. The consoles are powered by an octa-core AMD CPU based on the Gen 2 architecture. Apart from these, the console has 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and 825GB of internal storage. The PS5 also supports expandable storage using compatible SSDs. Finally, the PS5 is backwards compatible with the PS4, allowing you to play PS4 games on the current-gen console.
