Chinese smartphone maker iQOO is all set to unveil its next mid-premium range smartphone under its ‘Neo’ series. Now, shortly before the intended launch, a teaser poster of the iQOO Neo 7 SE smartphone has surfaced on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The teaser also revealed several key expected specifications of the smartphone, which are in line with what earlier reports had suggested. This makes the iQOO Neo 7 SE one of the entry-level versions of the new-generation ‘Neo’ lineup from iQOO, but it’s also a reliable mid-range premium smartphone.
What the iQOO Neo 7 SE poster reveals
While the launch date has not been spotted, the iQOO Neo 7 SE poster has revealed that the smartphone is likely to launch with the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. The latter is expected to be based on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process and the successor to Dimensity 8100. It will compete against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC and it will be interesting to see how these chips perform.
For reference, the mid-premium range Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 can’t compete with the Dimension 8100 from MediaTek in terms of overall capacity, performance and cost. As a result, it will be interesting to see how Qualcomm prices against the sub-flagship MediaTek chip This time.
Other Key specifications are indicated The iQOO Neo 7 SE poster features an E5 AMOLED display, which previous reports suggested is a 6.78-inch one with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other specifications include a 5,000mAh battery, 120W fast charging and optical image stabilization on the camera.
The smartphone has been teased in three colors and a leather textured back panel may also be on offer.
