iPhone, iPad, Mac battery replacement cost to increase from March

The price hike will affect customers who do not have AppleCare or ‘AppleCare’+ for their devices. Customers with AppleCare+ pay nothing for battery replacement once their battery health exceeds 80 percent.

Apple battery replacement cost

Apple is also increasing the cost of out-of-warranty battery replacements for Mac and iPad. MacBook Air battery replacement will go up by $30 (roughly Rs. 2,500) and MacBook Pro by $50 (roughly Rs. 4,100). The prices of the new iPad models will increase by $20 (roughly Rs. 1,650). As mentioned, these price changes will be effective from March 1, 2023. These prices are exclusive of tax and include an additional shipping charge if Apple models need to be shipped (this is region-specific).

The current battery service fee is $99 (roughly Rs. 8,200) for the out-of-warranty iPhone 14 series, $69 (roughly Rs. 5,700) for the iPhone 13 and older full-screen iPhones, and finally, $49 for iPhones with a home button. (More than Rs. 4,000). The price change for battery replacements will also happen at the same time in other countries and regions (possibly including India). The main reason behind the price hike has not been revealed as of now, but we believe it is due to the increased cost of materials and possibly labour.
