First place Mumbai, last place Gujarat, do you know the position of other teams in the points table?

Women’s Premier League 2023: In the first season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 4 matches have been played so far and the dominance of the Mumbai Indians women’s team is evident in the points table. Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, Team India has unilaterally won the two matches played so far. Mumbai Indians women beat Gujarat Giants by 143 runs in their first match and Royal Challengers Bangalore women beat them by 9 wickets in their second match.

Currently, Mumbai Indians are at the top of the points table with 4 points, in which their net run rate is 5.185. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals Women and UP Warriors team occupy the second and third positions in the points table, both teams have played a single match so far this season.

Delhi Capitals team has 2 points in which their net run rate is 3.0 while UP Warriors team net run rate is 0.374. Both the teams are scheduled to play a match against each other on March 7.

The condition of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants is worse

Under Smriti Mandhana’s captaincy, Royal Challengers Bangalore women’s team is fourth in the points table after suffering a one-sided defeat in the 2 matches played so far. RCB Women’s team faced a 60-run defeat against Delhi Capitals Women in their first match and lost against Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets in their second match. Looking at the team’s net run rate, it is also -3.176.

Gujarat Giants team is currently at the last position in the points table. In the first match, the team had to suffer a heavy defeat. In the second match, though they reached the winning position at one stage, they had to lose badly against UP by 3 wickets. Currently Gujarat Giants net run rate is -3.765.
