Wearables are becoming an increasingly important category in the Indian consumer technology segment, especially those catering to the budget space. With brands like Noise and Bot dominating the market, Realme’s sub-brand DIZO is also trying to make a name for itself. To wit, I have a smart watch called DIZO Watch D Plus which is priced at Rs. 2,000 only.
Consumers looking to track their health and fitness without paying a premium may be interested in what DIZO has to offer. Here’s a full review of the wearable to see where it stands in the market and whether it can be your default choice in the segment.

From the outside, the DIZO Watch D Plus looks very svelte and sports a sizable 1.85-inch panel on the front with bezels that aren’t as thick as you might expect. Also, the edges are curved on the sides and the rails get a polished matte finish, all of which lend an air of premium to the device.
There is only one physical button on the side that can be used to turn off the screen or go back to the home screen. At just 43g, the Watch D Plus sits so comfortably on my wrist that I mostly forget it’s there. You get a silicone strap inside the box with three colors on offer and I prefer the deep blue variant I was sent.
Talking about the display, the rectangular screen has a resolution of 240 x 280 and is of the LCD type. I’m happy with its reasonable 550nits peak brightness, although, in harsh sunlight, the screen isn’t very clear. The DIZO app has around 150+ watch faces to choose from, but the smartwatch can only store five. The color profile of the interface understandably cuts some corners for the price and is acceptable for casual use.
Let’s talk about some other important features of DIZO Watch D Plus that are not just related to fitness and health tracking. The DIZO app, which can be found on both Android and iOS, is required for a straightforward pairing process. After entering the app, the home screen displays various metrics like step count, calories burned, sleep duration, heart rate monitoring and more.
The watch can be used for music control, alarms, find my phone and control the smartphone camera. In addition to all this, the Watch D Plus is also water resistant up to a depth of 30 meters, which means you can take it out for a swim. There’s also blood oxygen monitoring, but in my experience, it’s not very reliable, to say the least. Sleep tracking on the device is also a bit iffy, but it’s still a useful feature.
The Watch D Plus has 110+ workout routines you can choose from, and I used Running Metric to track my heart rate while jogging. The experience is quite decent as the device has a reasonably accurate ability to measure the distance covered with its connected GPS. I also got regular updates when I burned a certain amount of calories or my heart rate was above normal. A complete breakdown of the workout can be checked on the Workout tab of the DIZO app.
Performance is average for a smartwatch priced at Rs. Less than 2,000. There are some pre-installed apps that you can play with but nothing much is offered in terms of customization. Touch response can be a little iffy at times, though I rarely used the watch for anything more than checking the time and tracking workouts. You can receive notifications from many of your phone apps on the watch, and incoming calls can be muted or rejected.
How good is the battery life on the Watch D Plus? The 300mAh cell, combined with low power consumption requirements, allows the smartwatch to operate for nearly two weeks on a single charge. I used the device for three days, which included two fitness runs, and the battery only dropped to 11 percent. Although I haven’t been able to test this claim, the Watch D Plus is also rated for 60 hours of standby time.

The current starting price of DIZO Watch D Plus is Rs. At 1,999 the wearable is priced more than satisfactorily. It offers fitness and health measuring goodies packed inside a slim yet sturdy body. It is very durable, water resistant and has the advantage of great battery backup. There are some issues with SpO2 and sleep tracking, but overall I think DIZO has done a remarkable job of combining looks and utility in a budget package with the Watch D Plus.
