If you’re a die-hard romantic, pick up Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams’ constant rifts in The Notebook. Here’s our pick for some of the best romantic movies on Netflix.
To all the guys I love the franchise
The first film in a trilogy of three saccharine and wholesome films about girl-next-door Laura Jean (Lana Condor) and her brewing love story with Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centinio) was considered a sweet revival of old romantic comedies. It spills over into the 90s and sees Laura Jean writing letters to her old crushes, letters she never meant to send, but her sister sends them anyway. And so begins her love story with her first love Peter Kavinsky.
Kissing Booth Franchise
Another high school romance, the Kissing Booth franchise sees Ellie (Joey King) fall in love with her best friend’s brother Noah (Jacob Elordi)—against the best friend rules they made when they were six. After getting his approval, the films follow the ups and downs of their relationship.
This is the olive garden of love stories! The Notebook follows the star-crossed and tumultuous romance between Ryan Gosling’s Noah and Rachel McAdams’ Ally in the 1940s. They somehow find their way to each other despite forces working overtime to keep them apart.
20th century girl
20th Century Girl follows the story of a girl whose best friend promises to spy on her love interest while she is away in the US. However, due to a miscommunication and a series of events, she falls in love with the same man. Another charming, bittersweet high school story for the win.
There’s nothing like an office romance to make you feel warm and fuzzy. The plot follows the story of two overworked assistants, played by Joey Deutch and Glenn Powell, who do their best to set up their over-demanding bosses on a date. Of course, fate had other plans for them.
Always be my maybe
A childhood romance that focuses on two very different people, Marcus (Randall Park) and Sasha (Allie Wong), how they meet years after their teenage rift. After their reconciliation, they face new fears as their blossoming careers bring new challenges to their relationship.
Life in Metro
Life in a Metro chronicles the bittersweet stories of several couples navigating the minefield of relationships, commitment fear and love. The film stars Dharmendra, Nafeesa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkana Sen, Kangana Ranaut and Sharman Joshi.
You go or you don’t
A sweet story revolves around two close college friends played by Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza. Unable to see that they are in love with each other, they set each other up with relevant dates, realizing that what they want is right in front of them.
Love per square foot
Directed by Anand Tiwari, the story focuses on Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar’s Sanjay and Kareena, who are looking for a house in Mumbai. To live in one, they enter into a marriage of convenience.
