Australia lost 6 wickets after adding just 41 runs on the second day of the indoor Test and were limited to 197 in the first innings.

 

IND vs OFF: The Indian bowlers named the first session of the second day of the Test match between India and Australia in Indore. In the first session, the Indian bowlers wrapped up Australia’s innings in 23.3 overs. Here Australia could only add 41 runs to yesterday’s score. The last 6 wickets fell in just 12 runs.

On the second day of the indoor Test, Australia extended their innings from the previous day’s score of 156/4. Early on, Peter Handcombe and Cameron Green started steadily. Both added 30 runs in the first session. R Ashwin Handcomb (19) was then caught out by Shreyas Iyer. Cameron Greene (21) was also out for just two runs after this. Umesh Yadav sent Green to the pavilion. There was a rush of wickets as soon as both the batsmen of this set made their way to the pavilion.

Mitchell Starc (1), Alex Carey (3), Todd Murphy (0) and Nathan Lyon (5) also reached the pavilion early. As a result, Australia’s total innings collapsed to just 197 runs. But based on the first innings, Australia was leading by 88 runs. It is noteworthy that the Indian team was bowled out for just 109 runs in the second session of the first day of the Indoor Test.

In Australia’s second innings, Ravindra Jadeja took a total of 4 wickets on the first day. Another day, R Ashwin and Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets each. Among the Indian bowlers, Akshar Patel and Mohammad Siraj could not achieve any success.
