[ad_1]

Apple iOS 16.1 has been released

The new iOS 16.1 update allows users to subscribe to and access Apple Fitness+ even if they don’t have an Apple Watch. Fitness+ is a subscription service with guided workouts and meditations. The app shows metrics like calories burned or your real-time heart rate.

The update also includes a Clean Energy Charging feature that allows users to optimize charging when cleaner energy sources are available. This helps reduce the iPhone’s carbon footprint. This can be selected in Settings > Battery > Battery health and charging.

iOS 16.1 allows users to create an iCloud Shared Photo Library instead of a standard shared iCloud album. The feature allows users to invite up to five people or six in total to a library where they can add, delete and edit their photos and videos.

There’s a new Camera app toggle that lets users choose to automatically send photos to a shared library. There’s a Live Activities feature for a third-party app, which shows information from a sports game, ride-sharing apps like Uber, or food delivery orders. Customers can see how long the order will take to arrive.

iOS 16.1 introduces Key Sharing, which lets you securely share car, hotel room, and other keys in your wallet using Messages and messaging apps like WhatsApp.
