Test debut in Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Surya made his debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which started on 9 March. He received his Test cap in the first match of the series at Nagpur. Surya scored only 8 runs in his Test debut. After that he was removed from the team. Surya has now become the player who has played for the Indian team in all three formats.
