Since its launch in 2020, the app has been available only to Tata Play subscribers and has nearly 1 million paid subscribers. The main motive behind this move is to make content discovery easier for the end user, the company said.
Tata Play Binge is now available to everyone
The Tata Play Binge OTT service was launched in 2020, but is limited to Tata Play (formerly Tata Sky) subscribers only. Now, the company has announced that it will be available for non-Tata Play subscribers as well. The Binge app combines 25 OTT applications including Disney+Hotstar, ZEE5, Voot, SonyLIV, MX Player, Planet Marathi, Sun NXT, Hoichoi, Eros Now and others.
Tata Play Binge Packages Rs. 59, Rs. 99, Rs. 175 and Rs. 299 monthly packages are available. Rs. 199 and Rs. 299 monthly can be accessed on connected devices, while others are mobile-only plans. Additionally, there are many different OTT app combinations with the same price tag. For example, the Rs.59 pack has three options: MX Starter, Zee5 Starter and Voot Starter. Based on which apps you use/view the most, you can choose them accordingly. This way you don’t have to pay for apps you don’t use.
“Our aim is to provide convenience to our customers. First with Tata Play and now with Tata Play Binge, we are looking to simplify content discovery for end users. For two years, we’ve put it solely for our users to perfect the platform and eliminate any hassles,” said Tata Play MD & CEO Harit Nagpal.
