It remains to be seen how the Moto Razr (2022) will fare in Europe, but as things stand, Motorola seems to have missed a good opportunity to take on Samsung in the foldable segment.
Motorola Razr 2022 Specifications
The Moto Razr (2022) comes with a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a screen that folds in half in the middle. There is a 2.7-inch cover display that shows notifications and other general content. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It runs on Android 12 OS.
The Moto Razr (2022) packs a 3,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. Moving on to the optics, the Moto Razr (2022) sports dual cameras at the rear with a 50MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary lens. There is a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
The Moto Razr (2022) gets a major redesign this time around, and it doesn’t look like the first foldable Razr model from 2019, nor does it resemble the Razr V3 flip phone. The phone has some flaws when compared to the Galaxy Flip 4. It does not come with water resistance, armor aluminum frame or UTG (ultra-thin glass). The OS is also close to OneUI 4.1 in terms of customization and features. In a way, the Moto Razr (2022) doesn’t have much going for it to justify the premium price.
