Jawan: Is It Set to Overtake ‘Baahubali 2’ in Hindi Collections?

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest cinematic endeavor, titled “Jawan,” has ignited the box office with an exceptional performance during the weekend. This colossal production has shattered existing records within the Indian film industry, accumulating a staggering 500 crore rupees in just a mere four days.

However, in spite of this remarkable achievement, “Jawan” still faces a substantial challenge in its pursuit of claiming the prestigious title of the highest-grossing Hindi film in India. “Baahubali 2” maintains its unyielding grasp on the top spot, having amassed over 725 crores in the Hindi box office.

It’s worth noting that although both “Pathaan” and “Gadar 2” have surpassed “Baahubali 2” in terms of net collections, their gross earnings fall short. This difference can be attributed to the high taxes that impacted the net earnings during the release of “Baahubali 2.”

As of now, “Jawan” has impressively garnered 252 crore rupees in net collections within the Hindi market over the course of four days, with early estimates for today’s earnings hovering around 30 crore rupees. In order to dethrone “Baahubali 2” from its position as the highest-grossing Hindi film, “Jawan” needs to accumulate close to 600 crore rupees in net collections. Whether this formidable feat can be accomplished or if “Baahubali 2” will continue to reign supreme remains uncertain.
